Farewell coach Tracey

Our coach Tracey Hallam is leaving us to coach in New Zealnd. We thank you so much for everything you have done for us for past two years and hope you have the best of luck in the future.

We've left her profile page on the left column for now.

Team Results Last Year

We enojoyed success in Bucs League last year in general. Both Men's and Women's 1st Team did well enough on the league to get to Premier League promotion play-off but both narrowly missed the promotion.

Men's 2nd team came 2nd on the league behind very strong Cambridge 1st. Mens 3rds won the league winning every game including 6-2 Victory over our arch-rival Coventry 2nd's so was promoted to the same league as 2nds but Women's 2nds struggled after being promoted last year with more competitive league and got relegated.

BUCS Individuals 2010

Last November we sent a team of 7 to the annual BUCS Individuals Games held in Nottingham. The tournament saw 400 players from 70 universities competing for the championships.

Our mens doubles Wa Sonsin & Richard Sham made it to round 3 where they lost to the 3rd seed 14-21, 12-21. Our ladies doubles Nicoline Chan & Ying Yi Tee made it to round 4 (top 32) before losing to the 9th seed 10-21, 10-21. All our singles games unfortunately didn't go so well.

Our mixed doubles Wa Sonsin & Nico Chan made it to the 4th round before losing 18-21, 21-18, 18-21 to Lisa Campbell & Marcus Chow from the University of Edinburgh. The other pair Tang Xinquan & Tiffanie Lau made it to the top 16 before getting wiped by 5th seeds from Manchester 16-21, 15-21.

Our other two representatives included Jillian Chim, who participated in the W Singles and Doubles, and Mei Ting How who entered the W Singles category.
